Summary Report: Binational Water Reuse Forum

The Binational Water Reuse Forum convened senior environmental officials, regional utility directors, policy analysts, and cross-border stakeholders to chart a comprehensive regulatory and technical roadmap for water reuse in Mexico, with an immediate operational focus on the California–Baja California border region. Over the course of a single intensive day, presenters from government, academia, civil society, the private sector, and binational development finance institutions worked toward a shared conclusion: the technology for safe, large-scale water reuse already exists — what remains is the harder work of regulation, financing, professional capacity, and public trust.
