Dr. Rick Morales is an applied sociologist, organizational development consultant, and founder of Morales Associates. For over three decades, he has advised leaders and organizations in all sectors on leadership development, organizational change, team effectiveness, and cross-cultural leadership. He previously served on the faculty of the Center for Creative Leadership, and as a postdoctoral research fellow at UC San Diego’s Center for U.S.-Mexican Studies and Institute of the Americas. His work has increasingly focused on leadership in complex, cross-border environments, including research and presentations on transborder leadership, binational collaboration, and the San Diego-Tijuana region. Morales holds master’s and doctoral degrees in Sociology from the University of California, Berkeley. In the CaliBaja Academy, he helps shape the leadership formation and developmental experience of Fellows across the arc of the program.
