Priyanka Pandey is a Master of Public Policy student at UC San Diego’s School of Global Policy and Strategy, focusing on program design and evaluation, energy, and sustainable development policy. Before graduate school, she spent over a decade in India working across corporate communications and CSR in sectors including the legal industry, clean energy, and public health. Her experience includes working on an award-winning pay-as-you-go solar irrigation initiative aimed at expanding reliable & affordable energy access for small and marginal farmers in India. More recently, through an advocacy internship with The Leprosy Mission Trust India, she has contributed to research on access, stigma, and health-system barriers affecting people affected by leprosy, including a KAP study and behaviour-change campaign. At UC San Diego, she is strengthening her quantitative and policy-analysis skills to understand how policy, institutions, and implementation shape equitable development. She hopes to build a career bridging policy design with last-mile delivery so that clean-energy and development solutions are accessible, practical, and effective for underserved communities.”
