Environment Program
Promoting sustainability leadership and protecting the hemisphere’s natural capital.
―― 01 - OVERVIEW
Overview
The Institute of the Americas' Environment Program drives cross-border strategies to address the most pressing climate and environmental challenges across Latin America, the Caribbean, and North America. We bring together governments, the private sector, academia, and civil society to accelerate sustainable development, advance the blue carbon initiative, promote sustainable shipping solutions, and safeguard the region's marine and coastal natural capital. Through applied research, knowledge exchange, and high-level dialogue, we bridge science and policy to build credible, scalable pathways toward a more resilient hemisphere.
